Coop's Hoops

We help children realize their dream of attending summer basketball camp.

We are dedicated to providing scholarships for boys and girls, ages 7 to 17, to attend the Walt Frazier Summer Basketball Camp.

Coop’s Hoops was founded in 2014 to honor the memory of Cooper Stock, whose passion for basketball and enjoying life was unequaled. The week Cooper spent at the camp was one was of the best weeks of his life, according to him. It is our mission to provide a week of fun and learning for children who love basketball, regardless of their means.

By accepting donations to send underprivileged children to Cooper’s favorite basketball camp, we have been able to give full scholarships to hundreds of children.

It helps us keep Cooper’s memory alive to know other kids will get to experience the same joy he did. Our Non-Profit 501(c)3 status has been approved.

BC Hoops is proud to bring back our Walt "Clyde" Frazier Summer Basketball Camp! Walt “Clyde” Frazier is a two time NBA Champion and seven-time NBA All-Star. He is in the Hall of Fame and voted one of the top 50 greatest players in NBA history. All campers participate in instructional stations, contests, league games and tournaments, and an awards ceremony on the last day. He attends every day of Coop’s Hoops basketball camp to bring both inspiration and knowledge to the young players.

Each year, we are able to send dozens of children to Coop’s Hoops. It brings us joy to know that Cooper’s legacy lives on in the form of his favorite sport, basketball. Cooper also loved to be generous and would be so pleased to know how much the campers enjoy and appreciate their time at camp.

Each year, a camper receives the Cooper Stock Most Heart at Camp award. These campers are not only great team players but also have positive, spirited attitudes toward the game and sportsmanship.

Coop’s Hoops is the brainchild of a dear friend of the Stock family, Jackie Kern. Jackie has worked tirelessly for the last 6+ years to ensure the kids have the best week they can. She is the person who makes it all happen.

Coop’s Hoops has also proudly sponsored dozens of campers to attend the National Basketball Players Association summer camp programs. In summer 2020, we helped children attend the NBPA x Five-Star Virtual Basketball Camp since in-person camp was not an option. We also sent backpacks, water bottles and basketballs to kids at homeless shelters.
